The day to day running of the school is the responsibility of the Headteacher, however the Governing Body of the school is responsible for determining the aims and overall conduct of the school.  This includes deciding, with the Headteacher, how the school should develop in order to maintain and improve its standard of education, approving the broad policies, plans and procedures that will support that development.

The Governing Body is responsible for appointing staff, disciplinary matters within school and setting the annual budget of the school.

I am delighted to be a governor of Parnwell Primary School and to be given the chance to work with dedicated staff, enthusiastic students and supportive parents. I very much enjoy using the skills and experience acquired as a deputy head teacher in a secondary school to help support this school.

LA Governor : Ronnie Lyons 

Mr Lyons is is a local businessman and is working to strengthen the school's capacity.

 

Headteacher: Clare Reynolds 

 

  Our Headteacher manages the day to day running of the school, ensuring that the welfare of the staff and students is the best it can be. They are responsible for the teaching and learning that happens in the school and the strategic planning.

I am pleased to have been appointed as Staff Governor; I currently work at  the school as the Site Manager. I have an engineering background and have worked in both primary and secondary schools in Peterborough for over 12 years. Ihave a practical approach and bring valuable experience in health and safety, waste and facilities management. I very much enjoy working with the staff and pupils at Parnwell and look forward to working with the Governing Body in helping the school meet the challenges ahead.

I aim to use the experience I have built over 30 years in industry of Purchasing, Finance and Law to the benefit of Parnwell School and the education of our children. It's a great privilege to serve the school and I want to make a difference.

Co-opted governor : Sarah betambeau
 

Mrs Betambeau is a dedicated member of staff who works in the Early Years setting. She has a deep understanding of how the school works and has a desire to see the needs of the children met by the school.

I joined Parnwell Governors in 2013 as a co­opted governor. My role is Literacy and Child Protection. I have two children who attend the school. I am a ‘people person’ who is always willing to listen and help where I can . I enjoy working with a committed board of governors and watching the school grow.

CO-OPTED GOVERNOR : Bernie McDonnell
 

I am very excited to have been given to put my experience to good use in helping the staff and pupils of the school attain the highest levels of  achievement possible.  I have extensive management experience, particularly in training and personal development,  gained in both the public sector and private industry.
